Come and learn everything you need to know to create stunning videos. Whether you use them for clients, family, fun, showing off on social media or even selling as stock video, a well presented video will get more eyeballs! I'll take you through everything from equipment to the final cut and from settings to stabilisation!

I have been a professional videographer for nearly 20 years. With a 40+ year background in photography, the leap to video was inevitable at some point. With the introduction of High Definition (1080p) digital video circa 2006, I decided to expand my horizons and offer not just ground video, but eventually drone video to my clients too. I am now a fully qualified, licensed and insured UAV (drone) pilot with 10 years' commercial flying under my belt.

Whether you own a small, family handy-cam, a DSLR/Mirrorless with 4K video or a cool POV (point of view) video camera, you probably aren’t making the most of it. For those of you looking to get into or expand your drone flying and film-making skills, you will love this section of the course. Even if you aren't interested in drones right now, never say never!

There are lots of simple things you can do right away. Things that will give your footage and clips a much more professional look and feel. Take it a stage further and learn to create videos that wow your family and/or customers, especially after some creative editing. My courses are fairly bespoke so tell me what you want to learn and I can build a course around that.

So many people simply record what they see and then just upload to YouTube as it is. Maybe they upload the same clips to different social media channels that require different formats when a little addition here and a little tweak there can make all the difference!

I own a range of different video cameras from Netflix quality 6K cameras right down to tiny POV cameras and a few in between. Sometimes it is better to come on a course prior to making any expensive purchases so you know you will end up buying exactly what you need. We also have various software for you to see and try as well as a host of lighting set ups and equipment to play with (including drones).

I can guarantee that you will leave our course feeling not only more knowledgeable but absolutely raring to go off and start creating amazing videos!

Prices

The price for any course goes down in relation to the number of people attending so if you have any friends or family that are also interested, bring them along. The prices below include preparation for your tailored course along with, course notes to take away and follow up contact to answer any questions "post course". I am always here to help.

If you can get a small group together, then the price comes down further depending on the amount of people (see below). Therefore, if you are part of a club and would like to organise a group course, please let me know. In either case, please get in touch through our contact page.

Group Courses

I also hold regular group courses in video and photography in Weymouth that cost £395 per person (+£35 per night b & b). However, these are only available when I have a minimum of 6 students. Therefore, if you are interested, please drop me an email to get on my waiting list and once I have 6 people, I can organise dates. Thank you.
